The recorded parsing, preparation, and conversion times do not add up exactly to the separately recorded end-to-end time. We therefore report the measurements as recorded rather than forcing the individual stages to equal the total. The 641-second figure is the measured total workflow time.
What Does the Speed Test Tell Us?
At 193.13 FPS, AnyMP4 processed the DVD at a substantially higher rate than the source's 29.97 fps playback rate. In practical terms, the 1-hour-41-minute title was converted in 641 seconds, or roughly 10 minutes and 41 seconds from the start of the measured workflow.
But the more interesting part is where that time went. The actual conversion stage accounted for 565 seconds, while DVD parsing took 15 seconds and preparation took another 76 seconds. This is why looking only at an application's advertised conversion speed can give an incomplete picture of how long a DVD job will take.
The hardware readings also give some context. GPU utilization averaged 24.13%, while average CPU utilization was 16.38%. The GPU was therefore being used during the workload, but it was far from being fully saturated. Peak GPU temperature reached only 48°C, with peak VRAM usage of 462 MB.
