Audible DRM Remove Audio Book DRM Posted by Estrella H.| Last Updated: February 5, 2018

How to remove DRM (Digital Rights Management) from Audible files purchased in iTunes?

Audible is the largest producer of downloadable audio books in the world. In 2003, this audio books provider and Apple reached an exclusive deal whereby Apple could only source audio books from Audible and Audible could not supply other music digital platforms with the content besides Apple's iTunes store. Purchase Audible audio books on iTunes Store, and then you can listen to your audio books on your authorized Apple devices. But if you want to transfer them to alternative MP3 players, you will fail.

Audible audio books purchased on iTunes have an .m4b extension and contain AAC audio which is encrypted by Apple's FairPlay DRM. Therefore, to freely transfer and play Audible audio books, we need to remove Audible DRM and convert Audible files to MP3 in advance.

Note: Digiarty Software does not advocate removing DRM from Audible audio books for any commercial purpose and suggests referring to copyright laws in your countries before doing so.
