Method 1. Convert Movie Video or DVD Movie to H.264 MP4

Open VideoProc on computer and input source movie into software. Convert Movie to Instagram MP4 H.264

If you just wanna convert camera movie to Ins, please access to Video control. Click "Add Video" icon to load source video from hard drive, and then choose MP4 H.264 video option as target format. The specification of this MP4 profile is mostly in line with Instagram required one - H.264 video codec, AAC video codec, 44100 Hz sample rate, and 128 kb audio bitrate. The things you need to pay more attention to are video resolution, aspect ratio and frame rate (See method 2).

Method 2. Convert Movie to Ins Favored Resolution, Aspect Ratio and Frame Rate

Double click MP4 H.264 format option or "codec Option" icon on near preview window and you will enter into a "Format" panel, where you will see all video audio parameters listed vertically. There are three "Keep original" options you should focus on to match the necessity of Instagram.

Convert Movie to Instagram Preferred Resolution, Aspect Ratio, FPS

● Frame rate must be 30 or lower:
If your source video is high-speed slow motion video with 60, 120, 240 or higher fps, you must manually adjust it to 30 or 29.97.

● Resolution must be 1080p/720p or lower:
You have no change to 4K video to Instagram unless you downsize it to 1080p or 720p. Do remember IGTV only loves video at 720p or lower.

● Aspect Ratio is recommended at 9:16:
We often record 4:3 or 16:9 video that is not perfect for Ins. Therefore, change it to 9:16 here.
