About HD Camcorder Video Formats
Generally, there are the following video formats or file extensions utilized by popular HD camcorders:
AVCHD – A high definition camcorder video format developed for use in Panasonic and Sony and other HD camcorders, such as JVC GZ-HM1, Canon HF S200, etc. However, AVCHD videos are not all compatible between brands. Solution: try AVCHD converter or AVCHD player.
MTS/M2TS – A high definition digital video camera recorder format AVCHD camcorders with Blu-ray Disc standard.
