Question: I just got a new 1080p toshiba HDTV and also a new Dell computer with built in blu ray reader/writer. I want to know how I can watch the blu ray movies on my new HDTV. Do I need an hdmi cable or can i just use regular monitor cables? Do I need to backup these Blu-ray movie to MKV format?
Best Answer: After ripping and converting Blu-ray to MKV video, you do not need to stick with your Blu-ray player or TVs, your Windows, Mac OS media player, brand new iPod touch, iPhone iOS 4, iPad, even mobile phones can be possible to play MKV video (learn how to convert MKV to MP4 for ipod, iPhone, iPad, etc.).
