Just last month I brought you some details on an external USB powered Blu-ray[1] drive by Sony, and now there is news on a new Blu-ray player from Sharp. According to Marc Chacksfield from techradar.com, the BD-HP90S is super-slim at only 218mm and provides a weight of 2.3kg.
The HP90S is said to be the first 3D capable Blu-ray player from Sharp. It can be wall mounted if desired, and also supports DiVX-HD, DVD and BD formats. You will able to connect to YouTube and Netflix via the integrated wireless and DLNA. Since people used to Rip Blu-ray movie to MKV format for playback them on none-BD drive based computer, it is time to playback BDAV movie directly on Blu-ray players.
We do not know an exact date, but are aware that sharp's new Blu-ray player will be released sometime in November priced up at £379.99 for the UK. What do you think of the new BD-HP90S and is it slick enough for you to buy?
